die klassische fotografische geste mit standort-, perspektiv- und motivwahl im realen raum ist ausgangspunkt der arbeiten ‘berglandschaften’ aus dem werksegment move. im bruchteil einer sekunde wird das, was ich sehe und wie es sich gerade verhät digital fixiert. schon ist der moment des auslösens vergangenheit. alles ist in bewegung: die wolken, der schnee, die berge und ich selbst.
die bildstruktur nimmt genau dieses moment der veränderung, der permanenten bewegung auf. die de- und neukonstruktion der berg- und wolkenstrukturen wirkt irritierend und magisch zugleich, mal zerissen, mal beruhigend. doch findet der betrachtende im bild immer einen anhalt- spunkt; etwas, was er zu erkennen scheint.
technisch gesehen beruht die bildstruktur der arbeiten auf einem datenübertragungsfehler der bilddateien von einem gerät auf ein anderes gerät. bei dieser übertragung gibt es missverständnisse, fehlinterpretationen, leerstellen, aber grundsätzlich wird das konzept eines digital lesbaren bildes beibehalten.
dieser fehler gibt mir die möglichkeit den aspekt des zeitlichen im fotografischen bild in anderer weise, wie zum beispiel bei der unschärfe von langzeitbelichtungen, in den fokus zu nehmen. das bild als momentaufnahme öffnet ein fenster sowohl in die vergangenheit als auch in die zukunft. was ist, was war und was wird aufeinander treffen – missverständnisse, fehlinterpretationen und leerstellen inklusive.

the classic photographic gesture with the choice of location, perspective and motif in real space is the starting point of the work ‘mountain landscapes I’ from the work segment move. in a fraction of a second, what i see and how it is behaving is digitally fixed. the moment of the shutter release is already past. everything is in motion: the clouds, the snow, the mountains and myself.
the image structure captures precisely this moment of change, of permanent movement. the de- and re-construction of the mountain and cloud structures has an irritating and magical effect at the same time, sometimes torn, sometimes calming. yet the viewer always finds a reference point in the image; something he seems to recognize.
technically speaking, the image structure of the works is based on a data transfer error of the image files from one device to another. in this transfer there are misunderstandings, misinterpretations, blank spaces, but basically the concept of a digitally readable image is retained.
this mistake gives me the opportunity to focus on the aspect of time in the photographic image in a different way, for example in the blurring of long exposures. the image as a snapshot opens a window into both the past and the future. what is, what was and what will meet – misunderstandings, misinterpretations and empty spaces included.
